Been trying to get into a routine of daily study of Spanish.  We study for about four hours a day most days. Jim is doing Visual Links and Pemsleur and then studying vocabulary and grammar.  I am working with Rosetta Stone , Pemsleur and a review book.  I was a little lazy today.  I haven’t done any studying today, but Jim has.  I will try to do some before the evening is over.

We are in full swing on trying to get the deck completed before we leave for Omaha.  I have put two coats of paint on one side of 9 boards.  I need to paint the other side and then Jim can put them in.  Once that is done, he will work on completing the stairs

Today was spent driving back home from Liberty University.  By the time we got home my tinnitus was so bad I could barely hear for the ringing in my ears.  It is much better now.  We picked Joshua up from Donna and Jack and have done nothing but relax for the rest of the evening.  Thank God for getting us home safely.  Drivers out there are pretty crazy, especially the truck drivers.  We were almost hit several times.  It was pretty scary.

We arose at 4 am in Newnan, GA, and Jim drove 9 hours to Lynchburg, VA, for his induction into the Tau Sigma national Honor Society.  He graduated from Liberty University with a 4.0 GPA.  I am very proud of him.  We arrived at the hotel Kirkley at about 2:30 pm. We cleaned up and then headed over to Liberty University where neither of us had ever been and Jim kept asking me where to go, as if I knew.  After making several wrong turns and going into a building that was the new Information Center, but was still under construction, we finally found the right building.  Things got better after that.  The ceremony went well and Jim truly enjoyed himself.

I received a call from Pete Gipson from Global Outreach International.  There have been some changes and they are doing some reorganizing.  Pete said they will get back with us after a big meeting they are going to have.  We just ant to get on the field.

It was a great day at church. Pastor Tim preached, or rather taught, on naturalism verses creationism. It is very important for Christians to know what they believe and why they believe it.  We also need to know the myths that Satan is spreading.  God is the creator of all things.  Naturalists believe in evolution.  I am sure my descendants were not monkeys.  Genesis gives us all the information we need to know about the creation of the world. There are prominent scientists who also believe in a theistic creation of the world

The rest of the day I spent getting ready for our trip to Virginia tomorrow. I was also able to rest a little and get a little housework done.

Late this afternoon I took Joshua over to Donna and Jack.  He seemed quite happy, but Jim is not doing very well tonight without his dog.

I spent all morning running around town with Jim.  He took me out to breakfast first.  Then I spent the rest of the day hemming 3 pair of jeans in preparation for going to Kathy’s house to wait on that baby to get here.  I did some spanish study.  The rest of the evening is going to be spent relaxing.  Maybe I’ll do some cross stitch.

Spent all day doing laundry and ironing.  I’m pretty tired tonight.  It’s 9 pm here and I hear thunder outside.  Looks like a rainy night tonight and probably tomorrow.  Oh yes, it’s pouring down rain now.

Jim did a lot of work outside today.  He and Jack, our brother-in-law,  Put in two outside faucets. He also poured some concrete under the deck.

I received  call from S.A.M. (South America Missions).  They are calling our pastor and then want a meeting with us.  I’m glad they’re only four hours away.  We will get to South America.  It’s just finding a way to do it.

The knee seems all better today.  I helped Jim with some work he is doing on the house.  We went to church tonight.  I had my sign language class and then went to the pastor’s class on “Step by Step through the Old Testament.”  He went through Deuteronomy tonight.

Everyone was sorry to hear that we had been turned down for the positions at the Nate Saint Memorial School in Ecuador.  A friend told me about S.A.M. (South American Mission).  I contacted them tonight by filling out their initial contact information.  We’ll see what happens.  God ants us in South America.  We thought is was Ecuador, but maybe it is somewhere else in South America, maybe Peru.

Well, since we won’t be going to Colorado, we can go to Jim’s induction into Tau Sigma National Honor Society.  It will be good to get away for a little while.

I injured my knee somehow yesterday.  All I did was stand up and it started hurting with sharp pains behind my knee.  We purchased a knee brace today to keep it mobilized until we can get back from Virginia and can get to the VA clinic.  Jim seems to think I tore something in my knee. I could barely walk and my knee almost gave out on me several times.

We are not sure what God wants us to do.  Maybe He doesn’t want us to be missionaries.

I finally received an answer from HCJB.  We will not be going for the school year, but they want us to come for a few weeks to meet the staff and see how we would fit in with the school.  We are a little disappointed, but God knows what is best.  We will get there.

I dropped the truck off at 9:30 am for its 30,000 mile service and some minor exterior repairs.  I spent the rest of the morning with my two sisters. We are all that remains of our immediate family.  We went to lunch and walked around Dillard’s for a while.  I then went back to the dealership and waited.  I didn’t get out of there until after 5:00 pm.  It’s okay though.  I had a great time with my sisters and the truck is ready for the long trip to Colorado.  I wish I would hear something from HCJB.  The waiting is killing me.
