Jim and I went to breakfast this morning and then I went with Jim to help the Kerns move out of their parent's house. After that we went to help Donna and Jack plant a new lawn in front of the house. Jim spent all day tilling. Donna and I made several trips to Lowe's to pick up soil, seed, straw and miscellaneous items.

Jim and I came home and collapsed. I almost forgot to water my own plants. Tomorrow is church. Donna and I have nursery duty.

Today I spent with my sister, Donna, going to Lowe's and picking out some tomato plants and getting some seeds to start  vegetable garden.  Jim loves watermelon, and it is something he can have on his diet, so I bought some watermelon seeds, too.  We bought landscape timbers and some mulch, well quite a bit of mulch.  We have to take the mulch back tomorrow, because we bought the wrong kind.  There was a special kind Donna had bought yesterday, and she wanted the same kind.  I think, while I'm there, I'll pick up some more potting soil.

I got an email from Operation Mobilization (OM) today.  They had some extra questions for me.  So I answered those and sent it to them.  They also were waiting on Jim's application, so we took the night off from church and finished his application and sent it.  Hopefully, we'll hear something from them soon.  They said that working on the boat was out, but that it looked good for going to Ecuador.  That is the specific place Jim and I feel called to anyway.

While waiting to see if we are accepted by a missions organization, we are staying very busy.  Jim has about three or four home improvement projects going on at one time.  I stay busy with the house work and getting the gardens in order.  The planters were all overgrown and had trees growing in them.  They were a mess.  Jim has cleaned out two large beds for me which I have put to good use.  We still need to clean out around the trees that line the driveway.  They are overgrown with vines.  There is a large bed along the fence in which I want to plant some vegetables.

I have completed applications for South America Mission and Operation Mobilization.  Jim has completed the one for South America Mission.  He still needs to finish the one for Operation Mobilization.  I pray that God will open something up for us soon.  We are not getting any younger.

It has been a while since I have written anything.  A lot has been going on.  Colin Parker Hagen was born April 12th weighing 8 lbs. 10 ozs.  We spent about a week and a half with Dan, Kathy and Colin.

One of the first things we did when we returned home was to trade in the truck for a more economical car.  We bought a Fusion.  It's a lot smaller than we are use to, but we love the gas milage.  Anytime we need a truck our brother-in-law has one we can use.

Since our return, we have been busy around the house.  The past two days we spent cleaning out the garage that had accumulated stuff for about 50 years.  We are actually able to get the car into the garage.

Sunday I completed the application for us for South America Mission. It was mailed yesterday.  Now we just wait and see what the Lord has in store for us.
