Back to a normal routine

All our company has gone and we are back to a normal routine.  Our son and his family were here to pick up their oldest boy to take back home.  We had a very nice visit.  The same day they left friends of ours from Searcy, AR, came to visit.  Their oldest son graduated from Basic Training at Fort Benning on Thursday and we all went to that.  They all left this morning on their way back to Arkansas.  We truly enjoyed our company, but it is also good to get back to our regular pattern of sleeping and eating.  

I sent an email to Lyle Rainey at Global Outreach today.  We hope to be able to partner with a Global Outreach missionary.  God sent us to Global Outreach and believe that is whom we are meant to stay.  Things could change, but I hope we are able to continue a productive relationship.

Busy Summer

Wow, it has been a long time since i have posted anything on my "Daily Blog."  Forgive me please.  

Jim has graduated Magna Sum Laude from Liberty University and is taking a rest from all the studying.  I say rest.  He is renovating an old house built in the 1800's.  It's the house we are living in. 

We went on a mission trip with our church to New Orleans to help a church with some construction.  This church did not receive any help after Katrina, but they provided housing and meals for those who were helping others in need; therefore, their church received much wear and tear.  We also help feed the homeless one night at a mission and removed an old delapidated playground at another church.  It felt great to be back doing some kind of mission work.

We had our 10 year old grandson with us for almost a month.  He went home yesterday.  What a joy it was to have him around.  He kept me on the go.  I took him to the pool at church about every other day.  He also got to get better acquainted with a cousin of his.

I am also happy to know that Global Outreach has not given up on us.  We were afraid God may have closed that door to us.  Now, I know that what we now qualify for is exactly the type ministry we were hoping to have.  

We still ned to get to language school.  This may take another year to get in a position financially and physically where we can go for that length of time.  We really need to go for a year.
